We did family pictures last week - we actually had fun and got some cooperation from the boys! We did them out at Warren and Linda's gorgeous house and little "ranch". I love this LIST! I found it on one of the running blogs I sometimes read ...
I consider myself a beginner and I love all this advice (except for #11...but those of you that know me know that:)
Friday will be might first race/group run in a very long time - a Midnight 5K - and all I am hoping for is to beat my sisters:)

1. Don’t be a whiner. Nobody likes a whiner, not even other whiners.
2. Walking out the door is often the toughest part of a run.
3. Don’t make running your life. Make it part of your life.
4. During group training runs, don’t let anyone run alone.
5. Keep promises, especially ones made to yourself.
6. When doing group runs, start on time no matter who’s missing.
7. The faster you are the less you should talk about your times.
8. Keep a quarter in your pocket. One day you’ll need to call for a ride.
9. Don’t compare yourself to other runners.
10. All runners are equal, some are just faster than others.
11. Keep in mind that the later in the day it gets, the more likely it is that you won’t run.
12. For a change of pace, get driven out and then run back.
13. If it was easy, everybody would be a runner.
14. When standing in starting lines, remind yourself how fortunate you are to be there.
15. Getting out of shape is much easier than getting into shape.
16. A bad day of running still beats a good day at work.
17. Talk like a runner. “Singlets” are worn on warm days. “Tank tops” are worn to the beach.
18. Don’t talk about your running injuries. People don’t want to hear about your sore knee or black toe.
19. Don’t always run alone.
20. Don’t always run with people.
21. Approach running as if the quality of your life depended on it.
22. No matter how slow you run it is still faster than someone sitting on a couch.
23. Keep in mind that the harder you run during training, the luckier you’ll get during racing.
24. Races aren’t just for those who can run fast.
25. There are no shortcuts to running excellence.
26. The best runs sometimes come on days when you didn’t feel like running.
27. Be modest after a race, especially if you have reason to brag.
28. If you say, “Let’s run this race together,” then you must stay with that person no matter how slow.
29. Think twice before agreeing to run with someone during a race.
30. There is nothing boring about running. There are, however, boring people who run.
31. Look at hills as opportunities to pass people.
32. Distance running is like cod liver oil. At first it makes you feel awful, then it makes you feel better.

35. Don’t trust runners who show up at races claiming to be tired, out of share, or not feeling well.
36. Don’t wait for perfect weather. If you do, you won’t run very often.
37. When tempted to stop being a runner, make a list of the reasons you started.
38. Never run alongside very old or very young racers. They get all of the applause.
39. Without goals, training has no purpose.
40. During training runs, let the slowest runner in the group set the pace.
41. The first year in a new age group offers the best opportunity for trophies.
42. Go for broke, but be prepared to be broken.
43. Spend more time running on the roads than sitting on the couch.
44. Make progress in your training, but progress at your own rate.
45. “Winning” means different things to different people.
46. Unless you make your living as a runner, don’t take running too seriously.
47. Runners who never fail are runners who never try anything great.
48. Never tell a runner that he or she doesn’t look good in tights.
49. Never confuse the Ben-Gay tube with the toothpaste tube.
50. Never apologize for doing the best you can.
51. Preventing running injuries is easier than curing them.
52. Running is simple. Don’t make it complicated.
53. Running is always enjoyable. Sometimes, though, the joy doesn’t come until the end of the run

Easter

We had SUCH a nice Easter - we got to spend time with family and got to get away for a night to Brianhead. There is still a TON of snow so we got to ski, tube, swim/hot tub and they even had an easter egg hunt on the Bunny slope! We had our annual Easter picnic and the weather was perfect. We also checked out the Art Festival - which we do every year and it was even better than usual (yummmm, Irmitas Molitas are to DIE for, I seriously went back at lunch time just to get one To Go! I know, what a DORK I am!) The boys are just so excited about everything! We are loving holidays right now. The Easter Bunny hid their baskets in the closet at the condo - after mid morning Andrew gets this great idea - He says, "Mom, I am pretty sure that there is an easter bunny up here and at home - because he hides eggs in the backyard EVERY time - you remember that right? I assured him that there definitely is not 2 easter bunnies and that NO eggs or baskets would be waiting for him at home. That kid was trying to score 2 easter bunny visits! Andrew is doing pretty goood on the skis, but he really LOVES the tubing hill! He likes to talk poor Grandma Linda into going with him - over and over - he loves when she goes. After many tubing runs by both Linda and I we told Andrew it was OVER because it was FREEZING and windy! He said I can just go by myself - and sure enough he did go a few more times and was fine (definitely a change from the cautious boy that would NEVER leave my side!) I love his confidence and the way he works things out in his mind to figure out how to get what he wants.
Ty was just happy to have his snow boots and his beanie on - he just had his tractor and bucket marched up a little sand hill and was digging with the tractors. He was great excet
Sean and I actually got to break away for a few runs while Warren and Linda got worked over by the boys:) We did 2 VERY cold runs on our boards and it was great to just be together! Doing something we both like with no extra work to include the kids! I even made Sean sneak in to grab a soda together before we went back! IT was GREAT!
We love these two boys - and am having so much fun right now!

A quick Trip?

My sis has been down in St. George for the past week because her husband is in Hong Kong - this is clearly VERY exciting for me because I LOVE to see Danielle - and we just love to do things together! We decided that we would book a room - somewhere with a heated pool - and head to Vegas for a night! WOOHOO - right? Nope! Andrew was not having it - he had an ice cream party at preschool to celebrate passing off certain skills - OK so I bribe him - and I mean LOTS of bribing - and NOTHING works! So - I cancel the hotel room and we decide we'll just go for the day, play, have dinner, and come home - the car ride home..."Mom, I just have a lot of work I didn't get done at school - I don't think I should skip anymore." "I just think they will need to wait to have the ice cream party - I have got to finish my work." I assure him that I have spoken to his teachers and he will get all the ice cream and toppings he needs..."I just think I should finish my work - I really need to go to my school..." on and on (you get the point) HUH? He is barely 5! Ok, I'm probably not kidding anyone - I am kind of a nerd myself and have always loved school and been very self-motivated in that area - PLEASE let this be a good sign! PLEASE let him continue to have this same LOVE and Passion that I have! So Fun - I love this kid! And then there is Ty...I am pretty sure I am just going to hold my breath that Ty doesn't get himself kicked out of preschool - I can see it now:)

Ty is so funny - anybody that has spent time with him in the last few months knows that he says the CRAZIEST things - just a little clip from bedtime; "I love my daddy." Snuggles his blankie, gets a big smile...then comes his pouty face/half scowl "I don't like my brother." "Goodnight Mommy"

Andrew is Five today - and of course, I CANNOT believe it! I remember finding out that Sean and I were going to be parents, that Sean sneaked a peek on the ultrasound so we found out IT'S A BOY, and then that he was going to arrive a little early, and then that our family was saying hello to a 6 pound 11 ounce HEALTHY boy! We both knew his name was going to be Andrew - we had 3 names written on the board in the delivery room, but our tiny little boy with a thin beautiful layer of dark hair (surprise) looked like and felt like an Andrew. We thought we would call him Drew but it just hasn't ever happened - he is Andrew - and he is so special and amazing! Everything that I see in his clear,bright blue BEAUTIFUL eyes is what he is becoming!
He is loving preschool - I was so nervous at the beginning of the year because he insisted he wanted to go EVERYday - I gave in and signed him up for Monday - Thursday. He is thriving and he LOVES it, and still asks if he can go on Daddy's day (which is Fridays, because Sean stays home with the boys while I work). Andrew is working with the Kindergartners on their work - he thinks it is because he is BIG and sits on the back row - he has some size on most of the other kids- but it is because he is really doing well. He is starting to work on reading boxes - which is sight words and sounding things out! We have really progressed on his writing and fine motor skills - it has been a little slow and alot of work but he is doing well and really working hard to be able to write well. He has turned in to quite the social boy - he knows all his "friends"(classmates) names and it is fun to watch him walking around and talking to all of them. He is kind of a little kidder and loves to tease and joke - he thinks he is quite hilarious. He often asks me, "Are you kidding me OUT!?! Come on Mom you have gotto be trickin me!" As you can tell, I am totally in love with and enamored with this child - I love all that he is becoming!
He loves to give me a kiss when I drop him off for school - and I usually get a quick kiss at pick up too - he is so loving and kind. He is starting to enjoy Tyler ALOT! They are finally reaching the point of being able to have fun playing together - and it is CUTE! My favorite times are watching Andrew help Tyler learn to do something. It goes a little something like this..."Okay TYTY it's not hard. Just watch I'll show you, just a couple simple steps..." and then Andrew gives very detailed instructions on how Ty is to do it! Andrew helped Ty get a bowl of cereal this morning all on his own doing - he set out Ty's blankie on the floor, helped Ty sit down and then brought him a bowl of cereal he had poured- with the spoon in it and everything! They have starting pooling their efforts together to accomplish things and to play - so cute! I have a feeling that this could mean trouble in the very near future! I heard Ty crying the other morning, rushed out and found Andrew sitting on the floor with Ty pulled up onto his lap and he was helping Ty hold his blanket and saying, "It's okay Ty Ty, just sit here, don't be sad I will kiss it better." That is Andrew - he has times where he gets a little aggressive and bossy -but really Andrew is just a sweetheart!
His friends have started to become very important to him - and he is starting to enjoy playing with a lot of different boys in the neighborhood - it has been fun! he misses soccer and is excited to start that again next month and then Tball the next month - He likes the team sports and has been a great little teamplayer! He likes to ride his bike at the park, ride his scooter down the hill at our house, play trains and geotraxs, and paint. He still LOVES to sing all sorts of primary and preschool songs. He sometimes has a few of his own funny wordings in there, but most of the time it works! Row row row your boat gently down a stream, merrily merrily merrily merrily life's a SUBMARINE, when I told him that didn't sound right he changed it to Life's a summer dream and insists that my ending of Life is but a dream is wrong and that his is right! And he is determined!
He started skiing this year - loved it - to our surprise- and actually remembers his snow plow and does quite well! He still likes to sag his pants and I'm afraid I might not be saying goodbye to his constant crack image anytime soon! Happy Birthday to MY ANDREW and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the day we got to start living our dreams and became parents! Our kids truly have made us better people and bring us inexplainable happiness and excitement!

Fall came and went...

We have been having so much fun the past few months. Andrew is doing so well in school, gymnastics and soccer. He has been going to preschool 4 days a week (which I was a little leary about) and loves it. He knows all of his letters, is starting to work on some reading and is starting on addition. He is coming along a little slowly on his writing skills and so we are focusing on that for now. He is still determined that he does not want to turn five because he doesn't want to go to Kindergarten, he wants to stay at his school. He gets to sit in the back row with the kindergartners because "I am tall too." He is doing very well with his social and his interactions and is really so fun to watch with his friends. He loves soccer - he just had his last game and is sad that it's over. The start of the season was good but Andrew was not too into the game. At his second or third game right as the 2nd half started he just got this determined look on his face and went for the ball. That was the beginning of a very fun season - with LOTS of goals. He scored 6 goals at one game and never scored less that 2 (yes, he started keeping track). It was fun to watch him get into the game and he always cheered for his teammates and was hi-fiving the other teams when he knew the kids from school. We love watching Andrew develop and cannot believe how much he is growing and developing - he is such a good boy and is just loving life!
Tyler is quite the funny boy these days. His most frequent statement is "Stopit, be nice to me" and always includes a finger point/shake. He is fearless and is difficult for me to keep up with. Injury prevention is my main focus these days! Ty loves to cuddle and be held - it is not very often that he is not on my hip or demanding to be held - the only way I can get him to walk is to "race me Ty-Ty." Ty talks very well, tells everyone "My names Ty-Ty," or "I am Ty-Ty." He loves the park, playing trains and riding his bike. He is still quite the daddy's boy - most days we have to stop in and see Sean just to keep Ty happy! He eats like a champ, can count to 20, say his ABCs and loves stories and music.
In October we spent some time in California going to Disneyland. We spent 2 days in Disneyland and the boys LOVED it. It rained our first day there and it was awesome! we did not have to wait more than 10 minutes in a line all day, which was great for the boys! We loved the Buzz Lightyear ride, Small World, Playhouse Disney Show and the Parade. We went for one day to Magic Mountain to see Thomas Town, it was a little dissappointing but the kids loved it. We also spent a day at the beach - we rode the ferry over to Balboa Park, built sandcastles, watched a skimboarding contest, ate on the pier, gathered sea shells and played in the surf. We had so much fun and the boys were absolutely perfect! They played so well, slept great at the hotel and were all around agreeable! We couldn't have had more fun!
We spent Thanksgiving at Ellen's house with some of her family and had fun. We headed up to Salt Lake and spent some time with Rick, Kelly and Bella and rode the Polar Express in Heber. Andrew was quite excited about it - was ecstatic to sing Christmas Carols in the microphone on the train - not shy at all! Tyler didn't love Santa Claus but also didn't scream hysterically either (which is a major improvement for him)! We of course went to the Discovery Museum which the kids love, did a little shopping and stayed at Kelly and Rick's house - which the boys also LOVE!
We are so excited for Christmas - I really do love this time of year. I love shopping for and getting to do things for other people. We have most of the decorating done, which is also a lot of fun for us.
We are just enjoying the boys right now! They are at such fun stages. We love watching them grow and learn so much everyday!

Fish Lake 2009

We spent the weekend up at Fish Lake in SE Utah. What a beautiful place. The leaves were starting to change and there were streams and lakes everywhere. We also saw lots of cows and calves which was the highlight for Tyler. Sean, Andrew and Grandpa Warren spent a bit of time fishing. Andrew caught 2 fish but he was most excited that he got to drive the fishing boat that they had rented! My favorite activity was a nice bike ride with Linda, Moses and Ty in the bike trailer. I also went on my first ever horseback ride. It was so pretty, there were beaver dams and streams everywhere! We had such a great time and the boys loved being with Grandma Linda, Grandpa Warren, Moses and the horses (Stepper and Rio)! Sean and Warren turned out to be quite the dutch oven chefs! Sean has hidden this talent from me for so long! The food was SOOOOO good! The place was a little "remote" but very beautiful - and the boys loved it (and that is what matters)! What a weekend for us!

Today was Andrew's first day back to preschool following Summer Break. He was SO excited and has been asking for weeks when he gets to go back! I LOVE that he loves his school so much. I could not help but think back to when Andrew first started school. When he turned 3 his pediatrician recomended that I find a preschool or some activity that I would feel comfortable leaving him at. Andrew was very attached and clingy and Dr. Marsden said that it would probably get a lot worse if I did not help Andrew to feel comfortable in new situations now. So I put him in preschool. I went with him the first several times to make sure I was comfortable and he was comfortable. The first few weeks of dropping him off on his own were terrible. Iused to have to DRAG him out of the car, take him in and hand him to a teacher screaming - I would then drive around the corner and cry because I felt so bad. I kept doing it because Sean and Dr. Marsden assured me that it really was best for Andrew! Well, they were right!!! Andrew has thrived and this year has been insisting that he wants to go everyday, not just some days! So we are trying out 4 days a week and Andrew is EXCITED! He could not wait to get out of the car and run in there this morning! Hope it is everything he is expecting and that he progresses as well as he did last year. He looked so adorable this morning. He really looks so big and insists on having a spray of dad's cologne before he leaves for school! What a sweet boy!

Finally I re-videoed Andrew riding his bike, the other one 2 months ago was too long and it seriously took me SO many tries to figure out that it was NEVER going to upload! So here's to all you DOUBTERS that don't believe us - he really can do it! (And during the day, Andrew knows that I won't run along side him anymore so he just takes off on his own - I guess Sean's the better parent:)

Ty-Ty is turning 2 tomorrow - and I just cannot help but think how great this year has been. Tyler has completely outgrown his allergies, he is very happy and content. We love his laugh, the way that he loves to antagonize and tease Andrew and how much he loves to just play alone and do what he wants. Ty is so VERY determined - we love that about him. He hates time-out, being told what to do, and sharing his food! Ty will stop in his tracks anytime that food is mentioned. He LOVES to eat and will hardly EVER turn down a food offer:) We went to dinner tonight for his birthday and he said he wanted to sit in the saddle so we had them sing to him - he was a little nervous at first but then thought it was cool! We LOVE our little Ty-Ty!

Andrew is getting ready for school to start again. He told us that he wants to go everyday - so we compromised and are going to try 4 days a week - We went to his meet the teacher day and he has worn his backpack (or "jet pack" as he calls it) everyday since! He is having fun playing with his "friends" in the neighborhood, riding his bike and scooter, and getting ready for soccer to start. We LOVE our (big) Andrew!

Happy Pioneer Day!!! We spent the weekend at Big Rock Candy Mountain by Richfield, UT just up the Sevier River! It was gorgeous, temperatures between 60's - 90's and a little rain(It rained twice, once while we were kayaking and once while we were rafting, CRAZY huh)! Andrew and Tyler LOVED it! The campground was beautiful - our spot was at the bank of the river and there was a great fence seperating the camp ground from the river so it was safe for the boys! We did a lot of four-wheeling along the most beautiful trails that ran along streams/rivers and crossed over them several times. We rode a trail to a mine town that was abandoned in the early 1900's with much of the equipment and some of the buildings and things left there intact - It was Awesome - the boys were seriously impressed!!! We rode kayaks down the river and did a whitewater river rafting trip. The boys did great and LOVED both!!! There was a great restaraunt/cafe with delicious homemade desserts - Andrew took Mom on a date for some late night dessert one night and Dad one night(Andrew brought me home a cute rock bracelet), and all of us the other night! The boys slept well, played together, and really had fun with all of the things that we did! We had one injury - on our first 4-wheeler trail ride we stopped for a snack and Andrew brushed his hand/wrist across the exhaust and got burned. We coaxed him down to the river and got him to put his hand in and then my super prepared Hubbie had burn cream at the trailer - so it turned out okay but he has quite a blister. We LOVED our weekend and cannot wait to go back to Big Candy Rock Mountain!

Sean is embarrassed by my terrible blogging reputation!!! So here is a quick post - We are having so much fun swimming (almost daily - thanks to Sean's Mom and her great pool). Andrew has summer camp/preschool that he is loving, has learned how to ride his bike w/o training wheels, and is anxiously waiting for soccer to start. Ty is just amazing and talking and making LOTS of messes and teasing Andrew!!! Sean is enjoying his new love (his road bicycle) and just rode in his first Century Ride and raised a bit of money for Diabetic Research! Work is very busy and good for him. I am having lots of fun with the boys - they are both happy, healthy and fun now!!! Work is good for me - still just on Fridays and I am loving the Gym and achieving my goals! We had so much fun this weekend. We had 2 family easter parties on Saturday - and then just got to relax and go to the park and church on Sunday. Our picnic with Grandma Ellen (Sean's mom) was actually in the rain. It was FREEZING. We let the kids find their eggs and baskets really quick and then took the food up to our house! Memories - right? We then had all of my fam over for an easter egg hunt and some dinner! The boys had lots of fun!

Tyler was NAUGHTY - seriously he would not smile, he was kicking dirt and giving mean looks to Melissa (the photographer). I can't wait to see all of them - if we got even one photo of ty smiling I will be SOOOO surprised! But we loved Melissa - she was so patient and fun!

Well apparently some of you have been sending hate mail to Sean regarding my slacking on the blogging - thank you. It paid off in a big way. He surprised me with a Flip Mino video camera (the coolest thing ever!) for Valentine's Day. So I will hopefully be posting all sorts of cute videos! Hope you all are well. We are doing well - We are doing a dairy trial with Tyler, it has been about a week so far, and he is doing GREAT! He loves eating everything that Andrew is allowed to eat! What a relief and how exciting! He is so happy at meal times now and eating out is not totally embarrasing and awkward.
Andrew is doing lots of things and growing up so much! His most interesting thing is we took him to Brianhead to introduce the whole skiing thing - and this weekend he is on his way to ski school and he says he is excited and will do what the teacher tells him - so we will see!

Andrew was so amazed by every little thing! It was so fun to watch him get so excited as he got to see so many new things!

We feel so fortunate to finally have taken this vacation that we planned last year~ and it was worth the wait! The boys had so much fun! Andrew is still talking about building sandcastles with Dad, and the water washing them away. We went to so many fun places and could not get over how gorgeous the area and all of its beaches are. Here's the short list of all the fun things that we did~ we went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. We also spent some time down at San Diego bay and did a bay tour, boarded and had lunch on the USS Midway which is a Navy aircraft carrier with all kinds of fighter jets and military helicopters that you can walk right up to and even get in some of them. Andrew and I rode "The Coaster" commuter train from Carlsbad (where we stayed) to La Jolla, where Sean and Tyler picked us up. Andrew was very impressed because we got to go under a bridge, on a bridge, stop at a train station, and through a tunnel - all in one train ride! We loved everything about our trip (well, except for the night that Sean and I thought it would be a good idea to have seafood at The Fish Market on San Diego Bay - This was a terrible mistake and possibly could classify as one of the most embarrassing moments of our lives!!! And I am not exagerrating, the kids were terrible and drew a lot of attention - OOPS - lesson learned!) Otherwise we kept the dining pretty simple and kid friendly - which worked out much better! We stayed at an AWESOME condo which was big with two bedrooms and tons of fun stuff to do (Thanks to Sean's Dad and Linda for letting us use their RCI). Only one regret - I did not purchase a single pair of shoes for myself on this trip - oh well, better luck next time!

ALMOST 19 POUNDS!!!

Just a quick update - I am so excited I can't help but tell everyone! No I am not pregnant (of course that would not be exciting for me :) but . . .
Ty-Ty had a weight check yesterday and the chunker weighed in at 18 lbs 15.5 ounces!!!
This is awesome weight gain for him and he has been so happy and fun the past few weeks!
I sometimes wonder if I have woken up in somebody elses house - it is AWESOME!
Andrew is just perfect as always! He is turning into quite the character and saying the funniest things. I'll just tell you one - At the park yesterday, he made this friend and could not understand what the boy was saying his name was - so he was calling him "blue-shirt." When I told him it was time to go he ran over to his friend and said, "Give me five, ok, knuckles - bye" as he was walking off, he turned around and shouted "Hey, Peace Out blue - shirt." I just cannot get over how funny it was - I guess you probably had to have been there. Anyways, The Stuckis are great and headed to San Diego in just 4 days!!! Hope all is well with all of you!

Fun and Busy Summer!

So, it has been a while since I have posted - We have just been having tooo much fun! It is kind of nice that summer is over and things seem to be settling down for us. Andrew is back in preschool, The Barefoot Montessouri Program - He loves school and his teachers. He has also started soccer and is having fun with Sean as the coach! Tyler seems to be doing a lot better!!!!! This is our great news - He is actually eating some solid foods and cutting back on the bottles- he is also finally starting to put on some weight - which seems to be making him a lot happier! He is walking really well and is enjoying antagonizing Andrew. We get to go to Primary Children's this week to see a GI doctor and feel like we are probably going to get a good report!

We have been doing a lot of fun things - We spent July traveling! I took Andrew and Tyler to Salt Lake (I know it was very brave just me and the 2 boys) to pick up Sean's sister Kelly, Rick and their baby Bella who were visiting from Texas. We got to stay with my friend Becky and had soooo much fun - The highlight for us was the Zoo.

We then went down to Southern California for a Disneyland trip with Sean's family -The boys were great and we really had a great time. Andrew is still asking when we are going to go back to Disneyland - He was so brave he rode most of the big rides with us and loved them! He loved the Matterhorn and the Playhouse Disney Live Show. We had such s great trip - I don't know how it could have been any better!

Tyler had his FIRST birthday. He had to get an upper GI scope in surgery but luckily he woke up well and was able to have some cake at his birthday party that night (Thanks to his Aunt Danielle who made a very special soy and dairy free cake for him! And his Grandma Ellen who hosted what was supposed to be a swim party but the lightning put a stop to that!)

We have also been doing some camping - and yes by we I mean that I do actually go with the boys! We have been having a great time. We went to a family reunion up Beaver Canyon and went with some family up to Kolob. Both places were absolutely beautiful and so peaceful!

Well the Stuckis are doing well and we are just having fun every day. Andrew is growing up and his speech is doing really well. He is really improving and we are seeing great things thanks to his sessions with an awesome speech pathologist. He is getting bigger and funnier every day! Tyler is a screamer! He screams to let us know he wants something and for those of you who have not heard it, it is and ear piercing scream. He is also in love with animals and "meows" whenever he sees a kitty or a puppy! Luckily our neighbors have a kitty and a small puppy for Tyler to chase and meow at!

We are looking forward to our next trip, in October, we are going to San Diego - let us know if any of you have suggestions for FUN things to do - we have not taken the kids there before - so we are excited!

As you can tell, Tyler is feeling much better! Finally, today he has started crawling around, babbling and getting into mischief! Yeah! Thank you to everyone that thought of us - we appreciate it.
We spent today driving up Cedar Canyon through Cedar Breaks to Brianhead where Sean and his family have a cabin. We were definitely reminded why we live in Utah and of the incredible beauty that we are surrounded by. We are doing well today and just hope that Tyler will continue to readjust back to the formula and get his appetite back. I had to share these pictures - it was so beautiful.

WOW! What a week we have had! We have been having lots of fun and lots of stress.
Andrew started at his new preschool - it is The Montessori Program at Barefoot Gymnastics, so he gets to go to gymnastics as part of his preschool. He absolutely loves it! When I picked him up today he said, "I want to go back to school." I told him that he got to come and play with me now because school was over. He then said (in his best whiny voice) "But Whyyyyyyy? Who would have thought that our reserved Andrew would be able to adjust like this. His favorite thing to do at school is the worksheets! He is working on numbers and letters and is learning so much. He is also learning how to play well with other kids and is doing fantastic! He is such a sweet boy and is so excited about all of his new friends.
Tyler has been our stress. He has been sick for a while now. We thought that he was adjusting well to his new formula but when we did a weight check he had actually lost weight and we realized that we had missed a lot of the signs that he was in fact having an allergic reaction to the formula. So. back to the Elecare! We just hope that he can adjust to being back on it - he has been so sick that we had to take him to the hospital for hydration - hopefully he will improve tonight or he has to go to the hospital in the morning and stay for at least a day or two to get some hydration and nutrition. He is being a real trooper but it has been hard. So keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
Which reminds me - Andrew said the cutest thing in his morning prayer a few days ago - He asked for Jesus to please help Tyler to feel better. It is so fun to see him growing and catching on to these things that we are trying to teach him. He really is such a sweet and sensitive child!
Sean and I have had an exciting week as well! We got lucky enough to stumble upon a Wii Fit game in the store (which we have really wanted), and we are having so much Fun with it. Don't worry I will include some crazy pictures of us playing our new games. It actually is fun. My Wii fit age was 45 - how embarrassing! Does anyone else have this game?

Memorial Day Travels!

We just returned from a trip to Northern Utah! We went there to see Thomas the Train. The Heber Valley Railway had Thomas visiting for the weekend and we got to ride on one of his coaches! Andrew had so much fun and was so excited about it that he talked us into going back up to Heber, before we came home today, to ride on Thomas Again!As all of you probably know, Andrew LOVES Thomas and all his of friends. Tyler seems to also be taking an interest in Thomas.(I am not sure if he likes the Thomas toys or just wants them because that is what Andrew has - Tyler's favorite thing to do these days is to crawl up to Andrew and try to take whatever he has right out of his hands! This creates some interesting reactions!)
Tyler was GREAT for the entire trip! Some of you may not know but Tyler has been a little bit difficult since birth - (He pretty much has screamed and cried constantly for about 8 months!) Sean and I just could not be more grateful to see Tyler turning this corner and becoming a happy fun child! Tyler was so excited and just loved watching everything that was going on.
We spent some time at the Gateway Children's Discovery Museum in Salt Lake City and the Discovery Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. This was hours of fun for both Tyler and Andrew. Tyler was so glad to be turned loose and crawled all over the place. Andrew's favorite part of the museum was the construction site that had cranes! At the Discovery Gardens Andrew loved the lighthouse and the water!
As you can tell from this novel - we had a great trip! We are so happy and grateful for our little family. We are convinced that we have the two most adorable boys EVER!

Things have been SOOOOO busy. I feel like I have turned into a "soccer mom" - overnight. Andrew has a lot going on these days and is sure growing up. Tonight we had preschool graduation - the kids all wore little black graduation gowns, sang songs and did a little skit. Andrew did so Great! He stood up with all of the other kids and did everything he was supposed to do. We then headed over to Barefoot Gymnastics for Summer Games. He tries so hard, is the biggest kid his age and just looks CUTE! He has just gained so much confidence and has started to be so big. It is so much fun watching him change and grow so much!
Tyler is also doing well. We switched him over to Nutramigen - after one and a half rough weeks he is doing well. He is still growing and is actually turning out to be quite a happy boy. He crawls all over the place. If he can get down - he will take off! He does not have the need to stay close to Sean and I that Andrew has always had. Tyler will go to anyone that smiles and reaches for him - he also babbles ALOT and loves to touch and grab Andrew hair and toys.
We are having so much fun with the boys right now. They both love playing with all of their cousins and you will see some of their cousins in the pictures! It is beautiful in St. George and we are taking advantage of every moment we can spend outdoors!

I am now officially a blogger! I have been looking at others great pages for a while but have been too busy (lazy) to put together my own. I decided it is time I start showing off Andrew and Tyler - because they are CUTE!
Tyler is finally starting to do well. We are finally getting some peace and quiet in our house - it is so great to not have him constantly screaming and crying - I just hope it lasts. He is finally taking to some baby food. He will only eat the baby bananas and his dairy free, soy free cookies. I hope he starts developing a taste for more foods soon! He just started to crawl, much to Andrew's dismay. This is a big problem because Tyler only wants what Andrew is playing with. He will ditch his own toys for Andrew's any chance he gets. Andrew is constantly saying, "MOOOMMMM! Put him back," and "Tyler needs a bottle, NOOOWW!" I am guessing we are going to be in for some major fighting very soon!
Andrew goes to preschool twice a week and gym once a week. He loves all of his activities. He is doing so well socializing and playing with others. It is so fun to watch him grow up. It seems that he changes and developments so much each day right now. I just can't believe how big and independent he is getting. He is such a sweet boy.
